IE is a new bioethics blog, maintained by the research team at Novel Tech Ethics, in the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University.

One of our goals is to bring you timely and important commentaries on contemporary issues in bioethics and health policy, from many different perspectives (and from senior and junior bioethicists alike), and discussion of how these issues affect the lives of Canadians. Another one of the underlying goals of IE is to discover and discuss ways in which bioethicists (and bioethics as a discipline) can have a positive impact on the societies in which they work.

We hope that you enjoy reading IE, and that its content helps to spark richer understanding and discussion of the important bioethical themes that emerge in its posts.
